Our goal is to help our clients accelerate and scale innovation by enabling marketing leadership and brand managers to more effectively track technology & consumer trends, tap into the global start-up ecosystem, and gain hands-on experience “test driving” new solutions. We also provide specialized expertise and resources to complement our clients’ innovation teams and to offload cumbersome tasks across the innovation lifecycle (i.e., solution scouting, supplier certification, product configuration and testing, piloting, deployment analysis, etc.). The Senior Digital Business & Technology Strategist combines aspects of product management (understand emerging technologies and associated trends), product marketing (build a story around “the art of the possible”) and business strategy consultation (work with customers to develop new business structures and models). Key focus areas include technology and market research, digital solutions design, solution piloting and implementation, go-to-market and growth-hacking strategies as well as performance marketing techniques. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Strategy & Research
Work directly with clients to understand key business drivers, challenges and future growth opportunities.
Develop succinct innovation briefs that clearly outline business challenges and goals.
Work with our Research Team to conduct primary research into the emerging technologies and practices that are driving new consumer behaviors, marketing practices and commerce models.
Develop comprehensive overviews of the technology landscape to understand the state of the art and to design forward-looking technology strategies.
Design pilotable solutions, associated implementation approaches and accompanying go-to-market strategies.
Guide the design and development of new “startup” business ventures.
Client & Project Leadership
Build & present “venture pitches” outlining new business opportunities and strategies.
Lead end-to-end pilot design and deployment between technology partner and brand with excellence, driving superior outcomes and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
Work with start-up solution providers to understand and guide overall implementation approach and plan.
Manage aspects of complex pilot implementations and go-to-market executions.
Business & Company Development
·Effectively communicate and represent the Pilot44 message to prospective clients in all settings. Participate in sales and proposal developments based on each client’s specific needs.

Desired Skills & Experience
While experience is important, a drive and desire to succeed is essential. Key experience and skills required for this position include:
6+ years of experience in business or technology strategy and innovation, preferably in a digital marketing and/or software technology role engaged in the solution/startup landscape. Will consider higher-level position/role for candidates with additional experience (10+ years).
Strong knowledge of today’s digital technology ecosystem and the consumer behaviors and trends that it drives, ideally with technology-related product marketing or management experience.
Entrepreneurial spirit and passion to work within a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Must be comfortable with ambiguity.
Bias towards action and ownership with strong commitments to accuracy and speed in equal measure.
Ability to function effectively on your own and raise everyone’s game in team settings.
Outstanding problem-solving skills.
Capacity to engage and inspire, demonstrated in excellent written and oral communication skills.
Working knowledge of research, presentation and collaboration tools required.
Fluent in English; Fluency in Mandarin (and other languages) a plus.
BA/BS degree, Master’s or higher a plus.
