TIEN Academy is inviting all aspiring entrepreneurs in all technology sectors who wants to turn their ideas into a viable and executable business plan; and entrepreneurs seeking to raise funds for their new ventures
Ash Maurya, the author of Running Lean, said, "Most products fail. Not because we fail to build what we set out to build, but because we waste time, money, and effort building the wrong product." Hence, our goal is to help entrepreneurs validate their ideas and build products that customers want.
Our pre-acceleration startup bootcamp is a part-time program stretched over 2 months and is designed for those with day jobs but dream at night of creating their dream ventures. You will learn how to build and validate a business case for your idea by working alongside seasoned mentors with proven entrepreneurial and corporate experience. You will also hear first hand from successful entrepreneurs and business leaders how they have utilized proven techniques like crowdsourcing, growth hacking, business model generation and channel and distribution strategies to create and scale their businesses. At the end of the bootcamp, you will get to pitch you idea to a group of angel investors for seed stage funding.
Our bootcamp equips entrepreneurs to:
- Learn to Build a Great Business (Learn how to use best business practices like Lean Canvas methodology to develop and validate innovative and scalable business models.)
- Gain Valuable Business Insights (Hear from leading local entrepreneurs and investors who will be sharing their thoughts and experiences on how to make your idea viable and scalable.)
- Pitch for Angel Investments (Who you know is just as important as what you know. By the end of the bootcamp, you will pitch to angel investors looking to invest in the next big idea.)
Upon successful completion, you will be able to:
- Produce a one-page lean canvas that validates your new business venture
- Develop a viable and scalable business model with a unique value proposition and customer segment defined
- Learn how to use effective digital marketing tools to generate traction and growth for your business
- Structure an organisation and generate agile teams that deliver results
- Understand various fundraising strategies at different stages: angel, seed, and series A
- Pitch to a panel of investors to raise funds for your business venture
