We would like to invite you to the twelfth workshop of the FROM.IDEA.TO.STARTUP series. Various mentors and partners of the Alibaba Cloud – SUSS Entrepreneurship Programme and beyond have agreed to share industry insights and help fine-tune your startup ideas.

The series is open to Alibaba Cloud – SUSS Entrepreneurship Programme startups, current SUSS students, alumni, staff and faculty, Polytechnic or JC students who are keen to learn more about Entrepreneurship.
The workshops are free of charge.

Title: NUS Enterprise Introduction
Speaker: Gang Chern Sun, Associate Director of NUS Enterprise
Description: Gang Chern Sun is the Associate Director at NUS Enterprise, the entrepreneurship arm of the National University of Singapore. Chern Sun manages the Incubation team, supporting startups through their entrepreneurship journey. He was also instrumental in the BLOCK71 initiative. Established in 2011, BLOCK71 is now the largest tech startup community in Singapore, and it has since expanded internationally.

Title: Choosing the right VC
Speaker: Jefrizal Zainal, Analyst at Protégé Ventures and PT BSc in Business student at SUSS
Description: This session will focus on pre-seed funding and how to get funded by Protégé Ventures. Learn what key factors VCs look out for when they are investing in your startup, understand what are the differences between VCs, how they are structured and what methods to explore when choosing a VC firm.

Title: SGTech and how to get funded by angel investors
Speaker: Startup & Innovation Evangelist, SGTech (Formerly SiTF)
Description: Shi Hui is currently leading 123JumpStart, the startup support program by SGTech. As the local startup community starts to grow exponentially and vibrantly, Shi Hui stays connected with the industry players and actively seek for collaboration opportunities. This session will include an overview of funding options available in the market, what to include in a pitch deck, what are the “hottest” technologies voted in 2018 (results gathered from SGTEch’s latest tech business survey) and a borad overview of SGTEch and how it can help you fundraise.

Title: Understanding The Sharing Economy with Park N Parcel.
Speaker: Erik Cheong, Co-Founder & CMO of Park N Parcel
Description: Erik Cheong is the Co-Founder & CMO of Park N Parcel, heading the company's business partnership such as collaboration, marketing and public relation. Park and Parcel is a Singapore based logistics startup under NUS Enterprise portfolio, providing last mile logistics solution to enhance the current mailing ecosystem. Our main focus is to provide online shoppers an innovative way to collect parcels in a hassle-free manner by parking their parcels with nearby neighbours or neighbourhood stores.

Since its launch in 2017, Park N Parcel have successfully built a network of collection points with over 1000 Parkers islandwide in Singapore. Currently working with partners such as Carousell, Airfov, DHL and Aramex to prevent E-commerce platform & logistics companies from facing re-delivery and making their delivery much more efficient and cost saving.

Beyond his bachelor’s degree in Finance and investment banking background, he is an entrepreneurial soul and an innovator with a passion to leverage on technology to enrich modern lives. Prior to Park N Parcel, Erik has started several businesses in the Hospitality, F&B and E-commerce sector with a strong believe in lean startup methodology.
