We would like to invite you to our last Singapore Tech Tour in 2017. This event is an opportunity for you to understand AWS services through classroom sessions and will help you to gaining hands-on experience through step-by-step instructions in a live practice environment.

This time the topic is Containers. Come learn about deploying and managing containerized applications at scale using Amazon EC2 Container Service (ECS).

In this session, we will discuss the challenges of running Docker in production and how Amazon EC2 Container Service (ECS) can be used to reduce the operational burdens, and we will give an overview of the core architectural principles underlying Amazon ECS. We walk through a number of patterns used by our customers to run their microservices platforms, to run batch jobs, and for deployments and continuous integration. We will also demo how to define multi-container applications with Docker Compose and, deploy and scale them seamlessly to a cluster with Amazon ECS.
During the Hands-on Lab, you will deploy a monolithic node.js application to a Docker container, then decouple the application into microservices without any downtime.

Who should attend:
Architects, developers, technical managers and decision makers who want to understand the fundamentals of AWS ECS and have basic knowledge in using AWS.
